Winter Parking
During a snow emergency, parking will be limited to Off Street Parking Only.
On Street Parking, in cases where absolutely no Off Street Parking exists, shall be used.

Recycling
Recyclables are picked up curbside on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month. The following items are recyclable: newspapers, magazines, cardboard (must be tied in a bundle separately), plastic bottles with recycling symbols 1 & 2, tin, aluminum cans, and glass bottles (clear, green & brown) may be co-mingled. Inkjet & laser cartridges can be recycled by dropping them off at the Alpha Municipal Building.

Garbage, Grass, & Brush
Garbage is picked up every Wednesday Morning. The limit is two 35 gal. cans not to exceed 75 lbs. each. Garbage will not be collected if recyclable materials are present. Grass, leaves, hedge clippings & brush can to be taken to the collection area in Industrial Park next to the Borough's Salt Shed. Brush Chipping is the 2nd and 4th Thursdays, April-November.

Animal Licenses
Dog & Cat Licenses expire on January 31st every year.
Beginning February 1st, late fees will be imposed at the cost of $5 a month per license.
Dogs: non-neutered are $11.20, neutered are $8.20
Senior Citizen Rates for Dogs:
non-neutered are $10, neutered are $7
Cats: non-neutered are $6, neutered are $4
You MUST present your pet’s rabies certificate
(good through Nov. 30) when you get a license.
Our FREE Rabies Clinic is held every January
at the Alpha Borough Garage.

Council Meetings
Borough Council meets on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays
of each month at 7pm.
