I've been posting more frequently on my
NJ.com Blog and have sorta been ignoring my website blog. I know, I know, shame on me.
Anyway, for the time being, please pay a visit to '
Alpha To Zikas' to read up on what's been going on lately.
Thanks.

Today's issue of
The Express-Times featured the article on blogging. If you missed it, you can
click here to check it out. My comments made the cut as did my lovely photo in the print edition. I have to give tons of credit to Jenna Portnoy, the article was well written and the title, New kids on the blog, was definitely clever. The article made mention of the fact that blogs aren't considered 'mainstream' and I consider that part of the allure. I tend to read the ones that include bits of news mixed with commentary. When I want straight news, I'll turn to
CNN, but when I want to know what others are thinking about the news, I check out
Daily Kos or
Talking Points Memo. With that, I hope you all continue to read my posts as I truly enjoy blogging for you.
In other news, it seems I am finally over the cold that I was battling. I'll definitely be at 100% for the Council Meeting on Tuesday Night.

I'll spare you the details, but I spent the entire week battling the worst cold I have ever had. I don't know if it was the flu or what, but it was brutal. The only thing I really made it to this week was Council's Re-Organization Meeting on Tuesday Night. I blogged about it on
NJ.com and you can read the details by
clicking here.
Speaking of blogs, make sure you pick up a copy of the Sunday Edition of
The Express-Times and check out the story on blogs. I was interviewed for it last week by Jenna Portnoy. Also, I was invited to speak on a panel about blogs on January 19.
That's about it for now. I'll post tomorrow after I read the blog story and give you my take on it.

Hmm, why is Harry blogging at 1:30am on New Year's Day? Well, this is the 2nd year my family has stayed home for New Year's Eve. For years, we got dressed up and headed to our church hall for a Greek Dance/New Year's Eve Party, but that all changed last year. Personally, I'm all for going out and having a great time, but I like staying at home and doing my own thing much better. My mom, dad and sister lounged in the living room watching
Fame Story, which is a Greek version of American Idol. My brother surfed the net and I watched the ball drop in Times Square on tv. Sounds exciting! Like I said though, it was definitely a relaxing and quiet time at home.
As the clock struck midnight, I did hear some fireworks and horns blowing about a block or two away, which definitely made me feel good about the upcoming year. While 2004 ended in tragedy in Asia, I'm hoping 2005 is a better year for us all.
Happy New Year!
By the way, my New Year's Resolution is to blog more often! Let's see if I can! :-)
