Hmm, why is Harry blogging at 1:30am on New Year's Day? Well, this is the 2nd year my family has stayed home for New Year's Eve. For years, we got dressed up and headed to our church hall for a Greek Dance/New Year's Eve Party, but that all changed last year. Personally, I'm all for going out and having a great time, but I like staying at home and doing my own thing much better. My mom, dad and sister lounged in the living room watching
Fame Story, which is a Greek version of American Idol. My brother surfed the net and I watched the ball drop in Times Square on tv. Sounds exciting! Like I said though, it was definitely a relaxing and quiet time at home.
As the clock struck midnight, I did hear some fireworks and horns blowing about a block or two away, which definitely made me feel good about the upcoming year. While 2004 ended in tragedy in Asia, I'm hoping 2005 is a better year for us all.
Happy New Year!
By the way, my New Year's Resolution is to blog more often! Let's see if I can! :-)
